Synonymous with buzzing night-clubs and bars serving cheap drinks and lots of action, Laganas is the party resort of Zante island. Laganas is the best known of the clubbing resorts in Zante and it has a fine sandy beach going right through it. At roughly 9km long, it's believed to be among Greece's longest beaches.
The music varies from hip hop to dance music, R&B, trance, funky house, all the way through to karaoke pubs and 80's, 70's and 60's bars. A couple of indie music bars have now even appeared in Laganas and these are highly regarded and well worth trying.
Possibly the most famous club in Laganas cheap holiday packages is the Rescue Club. It holds around 1200 clubbers and features some bar staff who are incredibly talented, doing fire shows, juggling and lots more. The resident DJ plays a mixture of dance, trance, funky house music and anything in-between.
The Rescue club forms part of the history of twenties holidays in Laganas and Zante clubbing holidays would not be complete without visiting it at least once. This club has had some big name DJ's including Hed Kandi and Dave Pearce playing live. Choosing to go on clubbing holidays in Zante is, therefore, certainly a wise move!
Among the clubs at the fore-front of clubbing holidays in Laganas is the Cocktails and Dreams club, with superb funky house and dance music and some scintillating shot cocktails. The bar is actually modelled on the classic Cocktail movie but, with a choice of over fifty different drinks available, this definitely makes for a fantastic evening out for cheap all inclusive holidays.
A recent arrival on Laganas' club scene is the Plus bar and club. The inside of this club is similar to that of all modern nightclubs in Paris, Berlin or London. The drinks are inexpensive as part of the cheapest holiday deals and the bar staff are helpful and friendly. The music played here is, once again, a mixture of trance, house and dance.
Another bar that is very popular in Laganas is the Medousa bar which offers a bar and a night-club to dance away the night in. This club plays a random mixture of the latest tracks from the charts with its' resident DJ's. It's normally free entry to this bar and, of course, the majority of clubs and bars in Laganas are free to enter. However, be aware that, occasionally, there might be times when a guest DJ is playing and they may have to charge a couple of Euros.
There are only very restricted water-sports offered in Laganas because the beach in some areas is protected due to the Logger-head turtles who arrive there to nest on the island each year. This is true for all parts of Zante.
A whole array of Taverna's, beach bars and refreshments are accessible here and the resort is only a short stroll away. Moreover, this beach is great for relaxing on following a hard night spent partying in the pubs and clubs of Laganas.
